We dont need special days of the week to show our mums how much we love them, respect and value everything they have done & taught us, so theres no better reason to spoil them rotten.
We must also never forgot that we have three mother's our own mother & our two grand mother's.
If you do not wish to be pressurized into celebrating mother's day or restricted to a specific day as in the uk, but still want to make an acknowledgement then feel free to give cards & flowers.
you might want to fly over & make the extra effort to see your grandmother & maybe buy her some velvet because you always think she must be cold, or better still ask her what she would really like. I always buy them presents when I visit & its best not to forget them either with the busy lives we lead today.
